Ali Lassoued

Ali Lassoued is a Tunisian national born and raised in the small coastal town of Bizerte, after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Human Institute of Tunis in 2006. He realized his dream of studying film in the United States. He was one of the lucky few to win an all-expenses-paid FULBRIGHT scholarship sponsored by the Department of State. During his first year at the University of California Santa Barbara, he taught advanced-level Arabic and studied Film production. Then, he enrolled in a three-year program to study filmmaking at Santa Barbara City College. Ali earned many accolades participating in international film festivals with self-produced short films like “Grit” and “Teddy”.

Ali’s US experience ended with a year and a half working in a Hollywood Post-production House “Sugar Studio”. One of the highlights was working as a VFX artist and a creative director on prominent projects, including the Marvel Avengers STATION featured on my portfolio page.

Back in his home country, Tunisia, Ali produced and directed TV shows, Music videos, and commercials for well-known clients for the next three years. In 2018, he worked in Algeria directing two shows for Algerian national TV. Looking to expand his experience in GCC, He landed a job in Qatar as a senior Executive producer and director in the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy. He worked closely with FIFA and the Marketing department to write, produce, and direct TVCs and Digital content to promote Qatar 2022 World Cup. Eventually, Ali joined Aljazeera Media Network in February 2021 as a senior creative producer, and director until today. He’s actively working with a large team to develop digital programming and direct digital shows for the New Aljazeera 360 platform.
