Ali Lassoued is from Bizerte, a small coastal town in Tunisia. He graduated with a degree in English from the University of Human Institute of Tunis in 2006. Afterward, he achieved his dream of studying film in the United States, winning a Fulbright scholarship sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. He studied film production at the University of California Santa Barbara and taught advanced Arabic. Ali then enrolled in a three-year filmmaking program at Santa Barbara City College, where he earned several awards and took part in international film festivals with his self-produced short films, including “Grit” and “Teddy.”

EXPERIENCE
Upon returning to Tunisia, he directed and produced TV shows, music videos, and commercials for well-known brands.
In 2018, he worked in Algeria, directing two shows for Algerian national TV. Later, he moved to Qatar, where he became a senior executive producer and director at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, working with FIFA on TV commercials and digital content for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.Ali joined Al Jazeera Media Network in February 2021 as a senior colorist and post-production consultant. He is also a master trainer for Blackmagic Design, specializing in DaVinci Resolve, where he helps develop creative looks and workflows for Al Jazeera’s 360 platform. In addition, Ali is involved with Atheer, Al Jazeera’s podcast platform, which recently won three Signal Awards, competing against major companies like HBO and Warner Brothers.
