I had some DV footage from an old DV tape camera. After swapping it from one hard drive to another over the last couple of years, it got corrupted. The image had random “pixelization” all over the frame. The sound had a faint tickling background noise. The artifacts were not as annoying as not being able to export the edited footage. II SSD boot drive
Unfortunately SSD are terribly expensive compared to mechanic drive but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy one. I think every video editor should replace his boot drive to an SSD for these reasons:
No moving parts: Mechanic drives consist of spinning plates with a head to read and write data. The seek time can increase the wait time depending on your hard drive rotation speed or RPM. In SSD the seek time is “0”. Data is instantly accessed which dramatically increase speed. Read More…

I downloaded Photoshop CS 6 and I was amazed by the new capabilities it offers. What you see in the picture is indeed a timeline out of Photoshop CS 6. I have to say even though Adobe took a big leap into video production with the CS 6 release I still think it is very limited to the average consumer. Programs like after effects and Premiere pro can perform much better and offer more control. Having said that it is important to note that if you are skilled in Photoshop user and you want to make videos that looks very professional without switching programs it is very possible thanks to these new features listed below.
